About the Season Celebration
The Season Celebration originated in 2021 as a way to create community and give back. The event is organized by Ruby Hutt (Oliver's Farm Stand) and Miana Hoyt Dawson (Pause & Pivot Farm), two small business owners dedicated to fostering connection, creativity, and local resilience through their companies. Designed to mark the transition of seasons, the celebration features local food vendors like Crepes Nanou and Holyoke Hummus food trucks, live music, family-friendly activities like pumpkin painting, and opportunities to engage with regional makers and artisans.
Beyond its festive atmosphere, the event functions as a benefit for It Takes a Village, a Huntington-based nonprofit that provides free postpartum and early parenting support to families in the Hilltowns of Western Massachusetts. Through the event, Ruby and Miana aim to not only cultivate community joy but also support important local resources in our region.
The Season Celebration draws attendees from across the region, centers local producers, farmers, and makers and offers a platform for them to connect with a wider audience.
